Please note the Garden is conducting "Jazz at the Garden" the first Thursday of each month April through October. A special admission fee is required on these nights.
Food trucks will be on site during evening hours at the Garden and guests are permitted to bring food or picnic items.
The Garden will close at 4 p.m. and reopen at 5:30 p.m.
The Garden Store will be open during evening hours at the Garden.

Museums for All
As a benefit of your EBT card, you can visit during daytime hours (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) as often as you'd like for only $1 per person. Simply show your benefits card at admissions to receive the discount for up to six family members. Offer not valid for select events including Chinese Lantern Festival and Holidays at the Garden.

Do you have wheelchairs or strollers available?
Wheel chairs and strollers are not available for rent, although the Garden is stroller/handicap accessible. Benches are located throughout the Garden.
Are pets allowed?
Only trained service animals that perform life functions for individuals with disabilities are permitted in the Garden.
What if it rains?
The Garden is open rain or shine. Refunds or rain checks on admission ticket purchases are not granted for weather related reasons. In the event of extreme weather including snow or a bad storm the Garden may close. Please call 704-825-4490 prior to your visit.
Can we bring food and beverages?
Picnics and coolers are welcome anywhere on the property, but please no alcoholic carry-ins or grills. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the terrace or at picnic tables.
Do you have a restaurant on site?
No, but drinks and light snacks are available in The Garden Store for purchase. The Garden occasionally hosts food trucks for special events, but please inquire for more details.
Can I bring art supplies and/or a camera?
Yes, the Garden encourages creativity! Please read our photo policy here for more info on photography in the Garden before your visit.
