Jazz at the Garden

The first show will feature guitarist Nils Jiptner. Bring your lawn chair and a picnic to enjoy with the show. (Large coolers, alcoholic beverages, tents and umbrellas not permitted). Free with Garden Admission. Free for members Scheduled for the First Friday of Every Month. Registration required. Join longtime Garden volunteer and avid birdwatcher Gail Ice for a morning bird-walk along the Garden trails. Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them. Please dress for hiking, and keep in mind that the weather may not be ideal. Pets will not be permitted for this hike.

Phenology Walk

This is a Members-only event. Join volunteer Thom Pennington for a walk focused on Phenology. Phenology is the study of recurring plant and animal life cycle stages, and how the timing of those stages relates to weather and climate. Our Persimmon Trail just received a spring cleaning on Member Work Day in March. It’s the perfect time to learn more about nature through Phenology, especially as spring wildflowers bloom. Pets will not be permitted for this hike.
