Saturday, June 15 & Sunday, June 16 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Activities 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Celebrate Father’s Day weekend with family crafts and activities, live music and more! Grab lunch and a beverage including craft beer from the Beer Garden, then play a game of cornhole and enjoy a walk through the Garden. Garden members and fathers are admitted free, general admission applies for non-members.

The Bonsai Society of the Carolinas will host an exhibit of nearly two dozen bonsai specimens at the Garden. Members of the society will be available for questions and demonstrations at select times throughout the show. Arthur Joura, the Bonsai Curator at The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville since 1992, will speak on Saturday, July 13 at 10 am. and all are welcome. July 12 – 14; 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Join expert biologist Susan Campbell from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day as she captures, bands and releases hummingbirds for research. Learn about attracting these tiny ornithological jewels and how to keep them coming back. Keep in mind the birds enjoy the earlier morning hours. Both days will feature activities allowing kids to measure wingspan, examine feathers under a microscope and more. Wild About Summer - Wild Wings! Aug. 3 – 4; 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
