Pre-registration is required. Check-in begins at 9 and the program starts at 9:30.
Students grades K-5. The same program will be offered both days.
Objective: Dig in to investigate the basics of herb and veggie gardening. Students will learn about different types of soil, plant choice, caring for and maintaining a home garden. Designed to capture curiosity and enhance the learning process.
There will be 6 stations set up throughout the Garden, each focusing on a different learning objective.
- Garden Perfect Soil
How to prepare soil for a garden.
Students will prepare a container for seed planting at Station 4.

Worm Bin (demonstrate with student participation)
- The Zone Factor
What herbs/veggies grow best in our zone?
Students will plant a seed in the container created at Station 2. (suggestions: lettuce, cherry tomatoes, sunflowers)
- Beneficial Bugs
Send each student home with ladybugs for their home garden.
