Bring your lunch to the Garden’s Visitor Pavilion and enjoy a presentation on the first Tuesday of each month (except July). Presentations are free for members or with general admission.
May 7 – with Jason Gamrath
This very special presentation will feature Seattle-based master glassblower, Jason Gamrath. The sculptor who trained at Dale Chihuly’s Pilchuck Glass School in Washington will share his start-up story and inspiration for his larger-than-life glass botanicals. From carnivorous Venus flytraps to orchids and pitcher plants, each piece is meticulously designed for color, detail and interpretation. Jason’s exhibit, Grandiflora: Gamrath Glass at the Garden, opens May 24 at the Garden.
June 4 – Plant Therapy
Join Carolyn Erickson, also know as Real Food Carolyn, for an interactive experience with therapeutic essential oils. Carolyn’s love of holistic health and gardening combines with her knowledge and experience of the healing power of essential oils. Learn natural ways to lift your mood, ease stress, calm the crazies, improve sleep, and more! There will be an optional easy aromatherapy DIY to take home.
August 6 – Backyard Butterflies
