Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden to Host Second Annual Oyster Roast

All-you-can-eat oysters, live music and more

BELMONT, N.C. – Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is pleased to partner with Saltwater Markets of Clover, SC to host the second annual Oyster Roast on Jan. 28 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Guests will enjoy all-you-can-eat steamed oysters (served with crackers, hot sauce and cocktail sauce), hushpuppies, live music by David Demperio and Chris Hertz, a crackling fire, and a selection of beer, wine, and beverages available for purchase. Oyster “dumps” will begin at 1 p.m. and continue once every half hour while supplies last. Sproutycakes Bakery will also be on site with desserts for purchase. This event is held in a covered, outdoor pavilion which will be heated.

Reservations are required by noon on Jan. 26, but are likely to sell out early, and can be made online at www.DSBG.org or by calling 704-829-1252. Tickets are $50/adult (Garden Members receive a 15% discount plus 15% off for up to four guests) and $12/child 12 and under (will receive a child’s portion of 12 oysters). Tickets include admission to the Garden. If guests would like to accompany friends or family, they may purchase general daytime admission at the door. General admission does not include oysters and those with tickets for the Oyster Roast will receive a wristband.
