Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Closed through March 31

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for our guests, staff and volunteers and in accordance with the direction of Gov. Roy Cooper and the Center for Disease Control, the Garden will be closed through Tuesday, March 31. We hope that this proactive measure will help mitigate the spread of Covid-19.

In addition, all public events, including continuing education programs and school programs are canceled until May 11. Garden staff will work with schools and other groups who have planned trips to reschedule them. The Garden’s private events staff will work with currently booked clients on a case by case basis.

Only essential staff will be on site to work through March 31. If you attempt to reach a member of our staff by phone or email, please excuse any delay in response.

While we realize this decision will affect many people, we believe it is the responsible thing to do in light of this extreme situation. We will continue to monitor the situation on an ongoing basis and make decisions based on the best available information.
