Nature sketching has many benefits! Not only does it strengthen hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, which are especially beneficial for children, but it also benefits our mental health, allowing for quiet contemplation, meditation and mindfulness.
- Crayons, colored pencils and/or markers
- Collect a set of coloring utensils (crayons, colored pencils, markets, pastels - whatever you have on hand) and pass out one color to each member of your clan.
- Head outside! Explore your outdoor space with the goal of finding a piece of nature that matches your color. Reward yourself with the meditative task of nature sketching.
