Wild Summer at the Garden Begins with Art
BELMONT, N.C. Learn about the wild places in gardens during Wild About Summer, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens fun summer series that focuses on nature and environmental stewardship. Beginning in June, guests can explore art, plants and wildlife while learning fun facts about life in the garden.

The Garden will partner with local artists and wildlife organizations to present engaging, hands-on activities that illustrate how art and wildlife interact within the garden. In addition to activities at the Garden, guests can take-home information will illustrate how to make home gardens more attractive to people and to wildlife.
The series begins with Art in the Wild on June 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., where playful southern traditions of colorful bottle trees and gazing balls are celebrated as garden art. In addition, plants are used as motifs in more traditional art forms as well, such as watercolor, pastels and mosaics. Also, guests can visit with artists, join in demonstrations and try their hand at creating their own masterpiece.

Wild Wings, Saturday, August 4, 9 a.m. 3 p.m.
