SUMMER CONTINUES TO GET WILD AT GARDEN

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens popular hummingbird banding program continues on Saturday, Aug. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wildlife Biologist Susan Campbell will be at the Garden to catch, band, and release hummingbirds as part of her ongoing research during Wild-Wings! Hummingbird Banding, one of Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens most popular events of the Wild About Summer series.
These tiny creatures never fail to enchant and enthrall Garden guests, who will have the opportunity to observe the entire banding process with Campbell and ask questions throughout the day as they experience research in action. A few lucky guests will even have the chance to release a hummingbird after it has been banded.
At 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Garden staff will lead tours highlighting hummingbird plants in the Garden. Guests will gain tips and advice on attracting and feeding these feathered friends that never fail to capture our attention.
