BELMONT, N.C. – Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden announced the winners of its third annual “Shutterbug” photo contest today. The contest was announced in July and amateurs, professionals, and even children entered their favorite picture of the Garden, from close-ups of flowers to fireworks over the Visitor Pavilion. The Garden received more than 240 entries. The winners of each category are:

The judges for this year’s contest were Jen Crickenberg of The Light Factory, Jeff Wilhelm of The Charlotte Observer-Hickory bureau, and Dean Forsyth of Dean Forsyth Photography. “Things Remembered framing, art, & unique gifts” of Gastonia sponsored the contest and also provided the matting for the winning entries.

The winning photos will be on display in the Visitor Pavilion Feb. 5 -26 as part of Art at the Garden. Art at the Garden opened Jan. 15 and runs through March 18.
