BELMONT, N.C. Most of the food we eat, including tasty favorites such as apples, strawberries, blueberries and chocolate is pollinated by insects such as bees, making them an irreplaceable part of the home or commercial garden.

Garden Nears Midway Point in Campaign for Lost Hollow

BELMONT, N.C. Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is nearing the $1 million mark in an effort to match a $2 million gift for a major addition, the Gardens Executive Director Kara Newport said as she presented detailed drawings for the project at a presentation Tuesday.
